During the past few months, a well drilling contractor has been deepening Well No. 5. The existing well was only 200 feet deep, and the new well will be drilled to a depth of approximately
600 feet. Based on various hydraulic studies, this added depth will help meet the demands of the community with additional capacity, especially during the peak pumping season from May through September.

“To date, the project is on schedule and on budget,” stated Commissioner Joseph M. Marando. “We anticipate having this well online by the summer of 2019.”
