TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS of the West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held for West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, between the hours of six o’clock (6) P.M. and nine o’clock (9) P.M. at the Office of the West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District 575 Birch Street West Hempstead, New York for the purpose of electing one (1) Water Commissioner for the term of three (3) years to succeed the office presently held by Kenneth P. Wenthen Jr., whose term expires on December 31, 2020.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Water Commissioners, adopted on the 27th day of October, 1936, candidates for Water Commissioner shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners, at his office, 575 Birch Street, West Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, on or before the 9th day of November, 2020 and information shall be submitted in petition form subscribed to by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District.
Every resident of the District, who is qualified to vote for a Town officer, shall be eligible to hold the office of District Commissioner. Every elector of the Town of Hempstead, who shall have resided in West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding the 1st day of December, 2020 and is a qualified voter, shall be entitled to vote in this election.
