The West Hempstead Water District will start construction of our permanent AOP system the week of September 14th 2020. This work is necessary for compliance with New York State’s latest regulation on emerging contaminants. Project completion is expected in spring, 2021.
The project includes a state of the art treatment facility which will involve the digging and pouring of a new building foundation. Since heavy equipment is required, noise disruption is possible. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we expect the work will be done during normal business hours.
