Public notice for a WATER COMMISSIONER of the West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District, Town of Hempstead, County of Nassau, State of New York.

TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS of the West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held for West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, between the hours of six o’clock (6) P.M. and nine o’clock (9) P.M. at the Office of the West Hempstead Water District, 575 Birch Street, West Hempstead New York, and the Washington Street School, 760 Washington Street, Franklin Square NY for the purpose of electing one (1) Water Commissioner for the term of three (3) years, beginning January 1, 2023 and expiring December 31, 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Water Commissioners, adopted on the 27^th day of October, 1936, candidates for Water Commissioner shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners, at their office, 575 Birch Street, West Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, on or before the 14^th day of November, 2022 and information shall be submitted in petition form subscribed to by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District.

Every resident of the District, who is qualified to vote for a Town officer, shall be eligible to hold the office of District Commissioner.  Every elector of the Town of Hempstead, who shall have resided in West Hempstead-Hempstead Gardens Water District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the 1^st day of December, 2022 and is a qualified voter, shall be entitled to vote in this election.
